Anyone But You

A poorly written screenplay loosely based on Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing proves that Hollywood are trying their hardest to spark a new formula for Rom-Coms. Although this film was an ambitious effort, for the most part this film fell flat on its face.

There was more chemistry between Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney in the credits scenes than in the entire film.

Having said that, there are a handful of moments of comedy gold within the writing and you see some sparks of chemistry between the two leads but nothing fully ignites into an inferno worth getting excited over.

For a genre that heavily relies on comedy and chemistry, Anyone But You lacks both… for the most part.
